This 3-day training experience combines online learning, hands-on pool practice, and real-world scenarios at sea. You’ll learn to prevent and manage dive emergencies, support other divers in distress, and improve your overall confidence in the water.

Course Structure & Schedule
Independent eLearning (10–12 hours)
To be completed prior to practical sessions. (eLearning cost not included in course price)
Day One: EFR (Emergency First Response)
Learn primary and secondary care (CPR & First Aid) in a relaxed, classroom setting in Jumeirah, Dubai.
Already EFR-certified within the last 24 months? You can skip this day.
Day Two: Pool Rescue Drills
Held at JA The Resort’s swimming pool in Dubai. Practise core rescue skills in a controlled environment—with access to the pool and beach facilities for the day. View location
Day Three: Open Water Rescue Scenarios
Put your skills to the test in real-world scenarios during a day of diving in Dubai.
Need extra time?
A surcharge of AED 400 applies for any additional training days.
Is this course for you?
While you can begin the Rescue Diver course straight after your Advanced Open Water certification, we recommend having at least 30 logged dives beforehand. This ensures you're already comfortable with equipment and buoyancy, making the rescue scenarios more effective—and enjoyable.
